Southampton Basketball relies on volunteers to run our organization.
The following is an overview of positions and a brief description of responsibilities.
President: Oversee all operations including insurance, leagues, equipment/uniforms, referees, personnel, permits, camps, board initiatives, marketing, and financials.
Vice President: Assist in the above responsibilities.
Treasurer: Oversee financial health of the organization. Report balances and account activity at each board meeting; make deposits following registration, set up refunds that are approved by board, make payments to vendors that are approved by board, assist with registration, assist President and/or Vice President with financial initiatives.
Recording Secretary: Prepare agenda prior to meeting and record notes during meetings and send to all board members; collect, organize, and maintain all Coach Clearances; collect, organize, and maintain all medical records of players;
Travel Coordinator: handles all correspondence with ICBA league, schedules games, selects travel coaches, schedules/runs team tryouts for travel teams, assists with selection of travel players, and coordinates with ref assignor.
Web Director: leads the board for website and social media postings and coordinating facility use
